Our Little Sitter-Upper!

These past few weeks we have been really working with Grey on teaching her to sit-up. We are so proud of our little Grey. We can't say she is a pro yet, but we are just about there. Here are a few pictures of her progress.

As you can see, she loves to sit up and boy is she proud! It's amazing how quickly they catch on to what you are trying to teach them. As parents, we are proud too!

Happy Birthday to you!

I just want to wish my sweetheart a happy birthday! He's been working so hard lately and I want to make his birthday as fun as I can. So far, so good! We all slept in this morning, which is very unusual at our house because Grey likes to wake up early and it's hard to ignore her cause she is so loud, but today her gift to daddy was to let him sleep in. Thanks Grey! 

Hopefully the rest of our day only gets better! We love you Ryan!

It's a GreyT Half Birthday!

Today is Grey's half birthday! To me, half birthdays should be just as fun as whole ones!?(does that sound right?) Anyways, so in celebration of Grey's halfer, we spent the morning at the pool which she loves and this afternoon we will play with lots of toys and eat her favorite snack, bananas! For Grey, this day will be lots of fun, for me, just another day....in paradise!

We love Family!

My Hero

Ryan is a life saver! This poor turtle was out in the middle of the road and Ryan, being the brave man he is, ran out into the traffic to save this little guys life. (well, actually there was absolutely no traffic for miles, but he's still brave...) The turtle was a little feisty at first, but then he warmed up to us. We washed him off with the hose and decided that we should take him back to the pond down the street. That's probably where the turtle came from in the first place. He had probably been traveling for days and was proud to have made it that far, and then here we are taking him all the way back to the pond. (Sorry little guy!) But, we were proud to have saved the life of a turtle. 

Now don't be callin us to come save the amphibians, reptiles or animals in your area. We are not certified!! Just think of us as heroes, or at least think of Ryan as one.

Baby Grey

Hey Grey! What do you say? (ha ha..inside joke) Isn't she adorable. Grey is the love of our lives. She surprises us everyday with something new. Whether it's a new sound, an expression on her face or the stupid human tricks she learns from mommy; she keeps us entertained. Her new favorite things are flirting with boys, eating vegetables and Wal-mart. Quite the combination, I know. 

She is just about to turn 6 months old! I can't believe it. We are teaching her to sit up which is quite the task, but we are getting there. She already manages to make her way around the room by scooting, so she shows no interest in crawling yet, but that can wait. 

Having a baby is so much fun!!!

Hollywood Life

That's right! We live in Hollywood, Florida that is. We moved here in May for Ryan's job with Sound Security. It's not permanent though, thank goodness!! This is not the place to raise little Grey. For one, we hate going outside. It's like walking into a sauna! Second, the crime rate is so high I'm afraid to go anywhere without Ryan attached to my hip (well, it's not that bad, but close) and third, we miss our family!! 

I probably make it sound really bad, but all in all we are going to enjoy our time here in Florida because we will never live here again. So we might as well make the most of it. And we are!!
