Time flies when you don't want it too!

Well, Grey is officially 9 months old! I can't believe it. This sounds so cliche, but it really does feel like just yesterday she was born. I remember it so clearly. From day one I've always said "I can't wait until she does this or that", wanting her to do all these things and now I want time to go backwards and just have my little baby sleeping in my arms....or just sleeping period. It just seems like she is growing up so fast. Now she is crawling all over the place, finding tight spaces to get stuck in, objects to put in her mouth; Ryan and I just marvel at all these new things she figures out every day. Sometimes we just sit and watch her. She has so many facial expressions, it cracks us up. She's always smiling, but every once in a while we get "the glare". And I have a feeling we will be getting used to that one. (I need to catch that on camera.)
We love our little Grey! She is truly the light of our lives.
So Happy 9 months Grey!

She's Crawling!

Grey has been crawling for a few days now, we are so proud of her, but now we have our work cut out for us. She has already managed to get into trouble and we always have to be on our toes with her. She started out slow and is getting faster by the day. She thinks she can stand up to anything her size, (i.e  furniture, boxes, toilet, entertainment center, laundry baskets.) The list grows every day. Just this morning she found the toilet and from now on the bathroom door stays closed. The last thing I need is her falling in there. Every things is just so interesting to an 8 month old. She loves to crawl to the computer and type or should I say pound on the keys, that seems to be her favorite at the moment. (Just ask Ryan...hee hee)
But even though Grey is getting into EVERYTHING, we couldn't be happier that she is crawling! We love watching her grow and we are proud that she is our little girl.

Here I go:
1. I enjoy standing on one leg! I can't tell you when it started, but it's comfortable to me. I just rest my foot on the inside of my thigh, right above my knee (kinda like a flamingo). It's awesome. Why tire both of your legs?
2. I like to buy things for scrapbooking, but I don't scrapbook! I am drawn to the cute paper, stickers, photo albums, and I buy it and it just sits there. I tell myself that someday I will start, but to this day, I'm still telling myself that. Help?!
3. If it smells funny, I won't eat it. I smell everything before I eat it. I try to be discreet about it, especially if I'm eating at someone's house, but I do it everytime!
4. I believe that our dreams are trying to tell us something. If I remember a dream, I analyze the heck out of it. Nothing has ever really come of it, but I still think that someday my dream will somehow predict the future. And sometimes someone really random will be in my dream, like an old friend, and then they end up calling me or emailing the next day and to me that's weird.
5. Since becoming a mother, I have made up so many different songs. I sing about whatever, whenever. Like, I have a diaper changing song, a bath time song, a food song, a walking song, a running song, you name it, I will have a song ready. I don't know what it is. Grey likes it now, but as she gets older she will be begging me to stop. I hope it stops too, cause I don't want to be the weird mom.
6. I can belch really loud. Louder than Ryan at times. It's great!

I love Family!

For the past two weeks I have been at home in Idaho and let me tell ya, it rocked. Ryan stayed behind in Florida and we missed him, but we did not miss Florida. Huh Grey? (she says ya..) I love hanging out with my family and being in familiar territory. We enjoyed every minute of being home. Grey loved all the little kids and I think she enjoyed the attention as well. Who wouldn't?
Here is a list of what we enjoyed while at home:
*being with family
*going to big springs (even though there were a ton of bugs)
*Grey meeting her Uncle Jason, Aunt Jamia and her cousins Macy and Ava
*swinging at Brooke's house
*going down grandma's slide
*pepsi parties
*doing the letter crafts (do I owe someone $$ for that?)
*driving the 4-wheeler
*girls day in town with Julie and Emily (and James)
*the other girls day in town with Mom, Janeal, Erin, Brooke and all the kids (c'mon you guys..it   wasn't that bad....)
*riding the bike at grandma's
*Grey getting her top teeth
*probably more, but I can't think at the moment

I could go on and on about all the fun we had, but that would be boring for some... all in all we had a blast and we were very sad to leave. I cried and Grey cried and then I cried again because I knew Grey was sad. I also have a ton of pictures that I will post soon, so you can see all the fun for yourself. Thanks fam for all the good times! Love you guys!!
