New loofa?

I had been cleaning the bathrooms and after I cleaned the toilet I set the toilet brush into the shower while I finished everything else. Well, I had forgotten about it and in the meantime, Ryan had come home and hopped into the shower. As he is showering he yells out, "I love this new loofa!" I thought to myself for a moment, "what new loofa?" Then it hit me... Oh no, the toilet brush!! As I hurry to tell Ryan that's no loofa, I find him laughing to himself. He new it wasn't a loofa and he was just trying to scare me and he did!! It would have been funnier if he didn't know, and then to see his face after I told him it was a toilet brush, but oh well. At least I didn't have to deal with a stinky husband.

Weekend Adventure!

We went to Sarasota last weekend to visit Ann and Cole. We had a lot of fun! I'm not going to write to much about it, just watch the slide show and you will get the story of our weekend.

Quick Funny Story

Grey loves to play with Ryan's and my cell phone. So this morning she had my phone and was pushing buttons as usual, (It's normally like *7798***##98 or something similar, ya know) anyways, I just happened to look at the phone and she had dialed 911. Ahhh! I hurried and cancelled the call, luckily it hadn't gone through yet. She must have thought that me making breakfast was going to end up in an emergency. J/k!

Try this one! You won't be sorry!!

So I was looking around on the internet for a new recipe because I feel like Ryan and I have the same things every week. Sound familiar to anyone? Well, I frequently look at campbellkitchen.com and I've tried a few of their recipes, but none of them have really fulfilled our taste buds.......until now! I found a great recipe, it's actually really plain and simple, but so tasty and quick as ever. 

Cheddar Broccoli Chicken and Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

1 tbsp. vegetable oil 
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts 
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's® Condensed Broccoli Cheese Soup (Regular or 98% Fat Free)
1/3 cup milk 
2 cups fresh or frozen broccoli flowerets 
4 cups hot mashed potatoes

Directions:

Heat oil in skillet. Add chicken and cook until browned.

Add soup, milk and broccoli. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 5 min. or until done. Serve over potatoes.

Sounds good huh! This is actually our second time having this and we just love it. The second time I made it I just used cream of broccoli soup (minus the cheese) and it was just as good! I slice up the chicken into smaller pieces, but you can do whatever you like. I also threw some biscuits in the oven, which we all love, and it just made the meal complete. 

I may sound crazy, but I know how hard it is to cook for just two people, and this recipe works for two or more. I just thought I'd share it with you all. Let me know if you try it! 

(If anyone wants to start a recipe swap over the blog, I'm in. I need ideas! Ryan is getting sick of the same old stuff!)

Our Life...at the moment

Not much is going on here in Florida, but I thought I'd just share a few pictures from this past weekend. 

We go to the pool pretty much every day! It's the only way to tolerate being out in the sun! Grey loves the water...and we do too! 

These are just random pics at the pool. Ryan balances Grey on his hand at home and now he does it at the pool. What you can't see (or hear) is me getting ready to catch her if she falls and  saying "okay, that's enough." That big wave one is of Ryan... He is inside that wave. Woooo!

Grey loves food. It's fun to watch her try new things and all the funny faces she makes. We really aren't giving her pepsi, she just likes to think that she can drink from the bottles. We hold it up there and she pretends to have a drink. What's funny is that when she pulls it away she acts like she just took a big drink and is breathing heavy and smacking her lips, when really nothing even came close. She's funny! We also put her in a high chair at Wendy's for the first time. She thought that was fun. I'm not sure why babies think they need to eat the chair, but Grey sure tried. (I know she's not the only one either. I've seen others do it too.)



We decided to go to the beach for a few hours and boy was it hot. We found a bit of shade and hung out there until it went away. We were the only ones in that spot. I guess people don't go to the beach to sit in the shade. We do! We loved just relaxing and being outside for a while. 

I kinda feel bad showing everyone these pictures of us in the sun because I know the weather isn't this great everywhere. We will do our best to send some sun your way!

More Family Pics

They are finally here! We have been so excited to get the cd of our pictures and it's here. I just wanted to share a few of my favorite ones. There are a ton more, so I will probably post more later. Our Little Sitter-Upper!

These past few weeks we have been really working with Grey on teaching her to sit-up. We are so proud of our little Grey. We can't say she is a pro yet, but we are just about there. Here are a few pictures of her progress.

As you can see, she loves to sit up and boy is she proud! It's amazing how quickly they catch on to what you are trying to teach them. As parents, we are proud too!
